Raspberries
Here we are in late October, and the raspberries are still making fruit! The South pasture has been newly mowed, and a bald eagle is screaming in that distant treeline. How wonderful is that?

Sweet Dawn
The morning sunlight melted its way through the fog like warm caramel, sweetening the dawn with the flavour of comfort. Ah, I wax poetic! We watch this magic every morning and marvel that the panorama is always new and different and interesting and charming. This never gets old.

Peak Autumn Colours
You know how people often talk about the "peak" time for the autumn colours? This year at the farm we call "Biscuits!", that peak happened on 16 October, and it was wonderful. A few days before that, the leaves were showing more and more yellows and reds and oranges, but when the sun came out bright and strong on that special day, the colours were spectacular.
The view from our garden at that special day last week when the colours of autumn were at their very brightest. That's the shoreline of Newcombe Lake.
