Christmas treasures

Of all the treasures unique to the Christmas celebrations (the creche, egg nog, electric shavers, Scotch pine in the parlour) the sweet and delicious Clementine shows up just in time. This one came all the way from Morocco!

Always new, always amazing, the morning sun lights the underside of the clouds and turns them into a golden fabric.

The Barn

There are six nice winter feeding and milking stalls in the shed area at the back of the barn, several still bearing the names of the last residents.

My personal favourite space...the hayloft! From that window you can look down across the pasture land and strawberry field to the lake. The loft is like the solid hull of a boat turned upside down.  The rain is  drumming on the iron roof.

A hot, home-made brioche,
Accompanied by
Apricot jam, and
A pot of delicious herbal tea.
